🛑 THE PROBLEM:
Tupperware’s existing Power BI dashboards were difficult to understand and inefficient to use. Executives and sales users reported confusion when interpreting metrics, identifying trends, and extracting actionable insights. Tables were overloaded with information, visual hierarchy was unclear, and key KPIs were not immediately visible. As a result, users spent excessive time trying to understand the data instead of using it to make decisions.
🎯 Goals
Improve clarity and readability of data-heavy dashboards
Reduce cognitive load for executive and sales users
Establish clear visual hierarchy for KPIs and trends
Make insights easier to scan, interpret, and compare
Maintain data accuracy while improving usability
Align dashboards with real user needs and decision-making workflows
🔍 UX Research
To understand where users were struggling, I reviewed existing dashboards, analyzed how executives and sales teams interacted with the data, and identified common pain points. I focused on how users consumed information, what metrics mattered most to them, and where confusion or misinterpretation occurred. This analysis revealed a strong gap between the data available and how effectively it was being communicated.
🧠 Key UX Challenges
Data overload with little prioritization
Poor visual hierarchy across tables and charts
Inconsistent use of labels, colors, and grouping
Metrics presented without enough context
Dashboards designed for data output, not human consumption

🚀 THE SOLUTION:
I redesigned the dashboards with a strong focus on usability and clarity. This included restructuring tables, improving layout and spacing, defining consistent visual patterns, and highlighting key metrics through hierarchy and contrast. The new designs guide users’ attention, reduce noise, and allow executives and sales teams to quickly understand performance, trends, and opportunities without needing deep technical knowledge.
🧩 DESIGN APPROACH
Simplified layouts to improve scanability
Grouped related metrics logically
Emphasized key KPIs using hierarchy and spacing
Reduced unnecessary visual noise
Designed with executive-level decision-making in mind
📝 Social Media:
📄 SUMMARY:
The redesigned dashboards made complex data easier to understand and faster to act upon. Executives gained clearer visibility into performance, while sales teams could interpret metrics with greater confidence. By making the data more human-centered, the dashboards shifted from being a reporting tool to a decision-support tool.
