I got a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design in 2007. I started my career as a Graphic Designer at PubliCIMEX while also working as a freelancer. A few months later, I moved to Mexico City, where I started designing in the trade show industry, creating custom stands or booths for different brands in trade-shows.

In 2009, I moved to the U.S. and started my first design company, Successful Design Inc. During those years, I worked as a contractor doing 3D modeling, rendering, interior design, and website design for both small businesses and larger corporations. That period helped me build a strong foundation in visual design, spatial thinking, and client collaboration.

Around this time, my curiosity for UX and UI design really started to grow. I took several UX courses on Lynda.com (now LinkedIn Learning), where I learned UX principles, heuristics, and the basics of UX research and psychology. Many of these concepts felt familiar, as they were closely connected to what I had studied in Industrial Design, so it was natural for me to connect and deepen that knowledge.

From December 2017 to December 2018, I decided to take my professional growth to the next level. I knew I had more to learn, so I committed to investing in myself more seriously. During that year, I completed three intensive UX courses with the Nielsen Norman Group — in Las Vegas (December 2017), Amsterdam (June 2018), and New York City (October 2018). This journey helped me close key UX knowledge gaps, stay current with best practices, and significantly elevate the quality of the experiences I design as a Product Designer.
